Thoughts from Your Editors
This blog is created to celebrate the efforts of our Bear River Valley missionaries!! Please send your information to the Merrell Mom at merrellmom5@hotmail.com or to___________________
by the 1st of each month and we will have a current copy of news posted and ready to share by the 5th of each month.
For young men receiving mission calls if you would send a picture along with the news of your call including dates when you are speaking, and leaving for the MTC. If you have a mission home address and/or your MTC address those would be great to include.
If moms or other family members have a greeting for the BR missionaries, please include it and we will post it in the "Greetings, from your Bear River FAMILY". We look forward to hearing from you!
Elder Craig Rey Merrell - Everett, Washington
Craig loves being a missionary. He and his family are both amazed at how the time is flying by. He only has about 7 months left. He has had many opportunities of teaching and leading. He loves seeing the peace and happiness that the gospel brings to the children of Heavenly Father. He is currently serving in his favorite area. There is a single's branch in this area and there have been a number of young members who bring their friends with them to meetings. On one particular Sunday there had been a challenge to bring non-members to a meeting. In a neighboring ward area, there was a recent convert who brought 18 non-member friends with him to his meetings that Sunday. The Everett Washington Mission has a goal of 1000 baptisms this year. Washington has cold winters, but the spring, fall, and summer are beautiful and very green. They are close enough to Seattle that they have had the opportunity to attend the temple a couple of times. His first area was right on the shoreline of the Pacific. In Craig's most recent letter, he and his companion had been asked by the mission president to go and teach a Christianity class to a group of non-member 17 year old high school students. They were taking the place of the mission president with this assignment, so it will be interesting to hear how that goes. Craig is looking forward to this newsletter. His mission doesn't allow e-mailing (somebody must have abused the privilege before Craig had even left on his mission). All missionaries LOVE getting mail - especially when that is the only kind of communication you receive. Here is his address - Elder Craig Rey Merrell,
